We already use Fivetran. Do we need to change anything?
No. Datacoves is designed to integrate with ingestion tools you already use, including Fivetran, ADF, Informatica, Streamsets, and others. You keep your existing contracts and workflows. Datacoves sits alongside your ingestion layer, orchestrating downstream transformation and deployment via Airflow and dbt.
What is Managed Airbyte and when would we use it?
Managed Airbyte is Datacoves' fully managed version of the open-source Airbyte connector platform. It gives you access to hundreds of pre-built connectors without having to manage infrastructure or upgrades. Teams that do not have an existing ingestion tool or want to consolidate contracts often start here. Teams that already have Fivetran or another tool can continue using it and simply plug it into Datacoves via Airflow triggers.
Can we use multiple ingestion tools in the same Datacoves environment?
Yes. Datacoves supports a mix-and-match approach: Managed Airbyte for some sources, Fivetran for others, custom Python frameworks for specialized needs. Everything is orchestrated through a single Airflow environment, so you have one view of your pipeline, regardless of which tool moved the data.
How are ingestion workflows triggered and monitored?
Ingestion jobs can be triggered directly from Airflow DAGs, keeping ingestion and transformation in a single orchestration layer. Datacoves provides out-of-the-box alerting via email, Slack, and Teams, so failures surface immediately. Grafana is also available.
